I must have pulled too hard on the cord pull light switch in the bathroom for the ceiling light and the cord has come out. I unscrewed the switch and tried to push a stick up the middle where the cord came out of but this has done nothing. Can't switch light off! Any help appreciated! Have also tried taking the fluorescent tube out of the light fitting but cannot get the plastic casing off the round fitting.
The cover for the pull should screw off. Just give it a twist anti-clockwise.
Turn off the power from the mains first!
You can buy a replacement cord from any electrical store.
