how can i fix my dyson?

the dyson contrarotator washing machine is showing the f4 code again we had engineer out he pressed a few buttons and it worked ,does anyone know the buttons to press ,

I just tried your solution and it worked for a couple of minutes then i got the fault 4 again.Tried it with just rinse and spin cycle and again got the fault number after a couple of minutes. Tried it on just spin and managed to get that done and clothes out of the machine. It looks as if I will need to get a Dyson engineer out after all. thanks for your help.

cancel my last answer the machine worked for 10 mins then blew a fuse , replaced with new on but won't work at all now

thanks topolino, your solution works if you have F11 on your dyson . I can now cancel the engineer who could have told me this over the phone.

i know how 2 do it now , its like this , turn your machine off press the tempreture button turn the machine on while still holding the tempreture button then let go of the tempreture button and press the soil button within 6 seconds then the diagnostics come up, then turn your machine off then back on then it should work ,

Try something like this:

Switch the machine on with the 'Mains On/Off' button, then quickly press first the 'Temperature' button, then the 'Soil type' button, one at a time, not both together. If you are not quick enough you will have to switch off and start again. Apologies if this is not quite right. Can anyone try this out, and describe how to take it further?
