how can i fix my peugeot speedfight 2 x reg?

i was riding the moped when i heard a funny whirring noise and then the bike went into its highest gear. i tokk the drivetrain apart and he bolt on the variator has come flying off. i cnt get the belt to go back on because the bike is in the highest gear and i cnt get it out. somebody help!!

You can get the belt back on simply by squeezing the clutch assy, that will give enough slack. When you put the nut back on just quickly slide the belt through the pulleys and it will tension itself so you can easily put the case cover back on.
