The Sony dvd recorder rdr gx7 comes on by itself and says
on the display power off. The machine never turns off. I cannot get the dvd disc out of the machine. I need to know what part or parts are broken.
You have the dreaded disk eject problem. You must open the case and manually eject the disk. There is a document that show how. The you must run the V1.30 updater to fix this problem - a firmware update. then you can start using again!
