The machine stopped soon after the start of a wash cycle after filling with water and revolving a few times. The pilot light above the 'on' switch had gone out. I changed the fuse in the mains plug and switched it on at the mains. I pressed in the 'on' switch again and there was a dull 'pop' from the area of the switch and nothing further happened, the machine refuses to switch on.
mine has stopped spinning and draining, I have checked the filter and after pulling a few coins out (but NO gunk you would expect) its still not working.
Is the pump gone or something?

A similar problem just happened to my Aquviva 1200. Turns out to be the water heater element that has gone. Very easy to replace.
