honda i2y lawn mower running problems?

after start up it runs fine for about 20 seconds then it just cuts out, it seems to be related to the shaft that enters the back of the engine casing,this turns a spring that connects to the top of the carb.

All I can tell you is that i have just fix my sister mower and had same fault. Traced it to the cut out switch shorting. Pull the wire conector off and try it for diag. purposes only.
