Asko W640 washing machine - The tap won't turn off?

the tap won't stop filling the washing machine, so what ever tells it to stop filling has stopped working. Is this easy to fix, is it only one part and is it a mechanical or electronic problem. I'm grateful for any responses regarding this issue

Does it stop filling if you pull the plug?

Yes: Check water level sensor, and voltage to internal water valve. Caution: 220VAC and water are deadly together!

No: Check water valve for leaks or stuck open.
