My 1 year old (bought March 2004) Hoover Wdm 150 washerdryer is making a very loud noise shortly after starting the dry cycle and does not dry. No problem in wash cycle (drum turns, water drains, filter cleaned). Instruction manual limited and in german.
I know this is old post but anyone else has this problem then chances are it is the motor brushes wearing out. It may run ok up the to spin cycle but when needing full power for spin it will just spark across the brush and motor com resulting in no spin. Costs about £15 for a set of brushes and a very easy repair.

my hoover wdm150 doesn't go to spin cycle as it is trying to 'empty' its water all the time so doesn't switch to spin as it thinks it still has water in it.
where is the sensor that tells it is that it is empty?
