Our Fisher & Paykel washer, which has functioned happily for six years, stopped draining. The pump is running, but instead of sending water out the drain hose, it is recycling water back in to the tub (filling from the top). There is no pump blockage.
I guessed that it may be the diverter valve, which I replaced for $15. But still the same problem, and now I'm out of guesses.
Unfortunately, usually when the diverter valve goes south it takes the computer with it.

May sound like a silly question but you've allowed it to run thru the entire cycle? Or, does it stop and light up many lights on the panel? There is recycling of water during the wash cycle. I replaced my diverter valve and it works like a charm again. Is there a code on the light panel? Did you take the control panel off to reveal the code deciphering sheet? It does help, once you figure out the method of the code.
