Maytag dryer won't start?

My dryer is a Maytag Ensignia (MD-33) GAS unit, It stopped working, I checked the vent to make sure it was not blocked, it was clean. I turned the dryer on and it worked. I hooked the vent back up and it worked for a short time and stopped working again.

When it worked for the short time it seemed to run and stop like a washing maching goes off when out of balance??

I took the vent off again but no luck, I check the balance with level and it was level.

Any sugestions are welcomed
