Thanks - that did the trick and saved me having to buy a new part.

If only the tumble dryer had not been wedged in so tightly it would have been a 5 minute job!

SWITCH OFF THE POWER AND UNPLUG FROM THE MAINS. REMOVE THE METAL BACK PANEL (KEEP NOTE WHERE THE SCREWS COME FROM AS THEY ARE DIFFERENT LENGTHS!!) AND YOU SHOULD SEE A SMALL BLACK THERMOSTATIC CUT OUT SWITCH WITH A SMALL RED BUTTON. PRESS THE RED BUTTON WHICH SHOULD CLICK IF IT HAS TRIPPED OUT. REPLACE THE COVER AND ALL SHOULD WORK FINE UNLESS THE HEATING ELEMENT HAS BURNT OUT ALTOGETHER OF COURSE. HOPE THIS HELPS.
