how do I replace the Dog Agits on a whirlpool washer?

how to remove the bolt and can you send me picture of the tool to use

i know how to remove and replace the dog agits but which way the dog agits go. I dont really know if i'm putting on the dog agits the right way, can you send a picture to me to show me the right way to put it. my dog agit numbet is 80040, thank you.

I just replaced mine. You have to pop the top off the agitator cylinder. There is a bolt that has to be removed, mine was 7/16, another post I read said 9/16. After taking the bolt out, the agitator and entire cylinder should come off, and you will be able to reach the dogs. Mine needed a little convincing to come off, but with a little force it worked. i know how to remove and replace the dog agits but i forgot which way the dog agits go, becus it can fit both ways, but one way it fit, it doesnt make noise but it doesn't seem to wash right, the spinner just goes in circle it doesnt move back and fourth, then when i put the dog agits the other way, it makes noise but the the spinner works perfect, washes back and fourth, so i dont really know if i'm putting on the dog agits the right way, can you send a picture to me to show me the right way to put it. my dog agit numbet is 80040, thank you
