I have a peugot 405 but the alarm and immobiliser don`t work at all, however have traced it back to No16 fuse which is the ciger lighter accessories. I have tried to contact the local dealers but, they are telling that they don`t know what the problem is and they seem very reluctant to give any information as to the whereabouts of either the alarm unit or the immobiliser, and being an auto electrician i have tried to look in all the usual places that they get stuck but to no avail, if anyone knows the whereabouts or a quick fix would be much appreciated....
The alarm siren is contained behind the left wing and you may see it when you open the door. The alarm master is only armed by the ir ignition key. The siren is controlled by a key and lock which is fitted to the front right of the engine compartment as viewed from under the bonnet. This does not disable the alarm but just mutes the siren, the headlights will still flash when the alarm is triggered but without sound. The button on the steering column only disables the interior ultrasound motion detection so you can leave an open window without setting of false alarms. Normal alarm is triggered when door/bonnet/tailgate is opened or vibration/battery tampering is detected.
