How can I correct my Ariston combi?

After being off for a while, (8 Weeks) my combi will only ignite when I press on the hot water button, (Seperate button for radiators) and run the hot water tap, the heating will work then, as soon as I turn off the hot water tap, the boiler switches it's self off, We are a struggling Amatuer boxing club so really can't afford big call out charges !!!! Phil.

have you got the book on the boiler? if not e-mail me with the boiler number and name and i`ll send it 2 you. sounds like its the flow control valve?.
