Im having the same problem with this thinkpad. bought it off of ebay. i wish i had read it better before buying this laptop. Error 00301. We put the windows 98 cd in the drive, but its not bringing it up. What needs to be done? Thanks
301 is a stuck key. Start by going to each key in turn and working it a few times.
If that doesn't fix it try going to www.lenovo.com (Lenovo own all of IBM's PC assets now) and download a maintenance manual. Step through the diagnostics in the manual.
