Mend Fiat 2.8JTD Engine Second Campervan

2.8JTD ducata fiat engine fires only at second attempt every time?

I have a Fiat Ducata Campervan and the engine a 2.8JTD disel will only fire on the second attempt. First attempt the engine turns over but won't fire. It is like it is getting no fuel.
On the second attempt it always fires and there are no other problems. When the engine is turned off could the fuel be leaking back from the injectors so it takes the first turn over to pump the fuel back? Any suggestions

Hi, I have the same problem with my ducato 2.8jtd based motorhome and is in the service garage at this moment and is under warranty. I have been told the cause of the problem is a faulty camshaft sensor that sends an electrical signal to the injector.Hope this helps
