How do I fix my whirlpool tumble dryer?

My whirlpool AWZ650 has stopped heating and the filter light is on (the filter is clean). I have been told it could be the thermostat but looking for spares on the internet there ar two shown 1. Thermostat kit 2. Exhaust thermostat. Which one do I need? Or could the problem be something else?
