alarm light clicking on & off - Hoover NeXtra Frost Free Freezer?

I only use this freezer approx 6 out 12 months, it's more of a back-up. The problem is the alarm light is flashing on & off all the time when it's on, also I can't seem to change the settings it seems to be stuck on the first bar, so I'm dubious about putting anything in it now. Any help to sort this problem would be appriciated please

I have exactly the same problem. I can't seem to resolve it. Alarm light flashes on, and I can't change the setting from the first green bar. Did you solve yours?
