how to fix my md player?

hi how are you? my question is how can i fix my mini disc player? it works fine but the problem is when i plug my headphones into it the only way itll work is if i hold down the the plug where the headphones meet the connection. how can i fix this?

ps- my minidisc player is sony MZ-N707

To be frightfully honest the only way to repair this is to open the Minidisc player and take out all the screws to reveal the board where the plug sits. Most likely the solder has come away and rarely connects so a little care is needed to solder the connection back on.

does the md player still run? or are you just lacking sound? if its just sound then its a loose connection between the headphone socket and the board inside, either that or the headphone socket itself is broken (unlikely). you need to open the player and maybe re-solder the connections for the headphone socket.
