How to put bobbin and case in brother boutique 21?

I have a brother boutique 21 sewing machine from my sister's home. I do not have a manual. the thread was looping around the bobbin case. now that I have released the thread, i can not replace the bobbin and case and manage to sew. As i slowly wind the needle down it seems to grind and stick.
