If you mean a cable that just drapes around the house then replace it. If you have a proper hard wired extension checkk the wiring as follows. Behind the Master Socket and the Extension socket you will find a cable with sis wires going from the master to the extension. Ensure that Blue & White is connected to pin 2 and White & Blue to pin 5. If they have become disconnected you need a special insertion tool to reconnect them, (Get a cheap plastic one from Maplins.)
