how to fill a bobbin ultra-stitch 6 Kenmore model #1340281?

I bought a used Kenmore Ultra -stitch 6. The lady did not have a manual. It sews very well, however I have trouble filling the bobbin. On all my other machines I just turned the wheel back toward me and loosened the wheel and the bobbin would fill. With the machine I cannot get the wheel to disengage from sewing. I just fill the bobbin by unthreading the machine, and letting the needle sew up and down as the bobbin fills. Help please.

On the top of the machine, on the right side, there is a short post on which you place the bobbin.
Thread the machine at the top the same as normal, but instead of then threading the needle, run the thread thru the bobbin, then slide the post towards the right. When you press the peddle the bobbin will spin and fill.

Hello Joyce,
In the stop motion wheel there is a screw, loosen off that screw then force the stop motion wheel towards you, once you have loosened off the stop motion tighten the small screw back up again, if you find when you have tightened the stop motion back up that it will not grip you will need to take off the stop motion wheel and move the three pronged washer to a different position, any problems e-mail me.
