as you look at front of appliance remove lid and right side panel and you will see element at the back in middle (round silver tube with 2 wires attached.it is held on by two spring clamps.access is not easy as you will see unless you drop the whole base off frame but it is possible with care to do from the side.not sure what you mean about sensor!
