need to disconnect mains?

I want to work on the electrics in my property and cannot as every time I turn off the power the alarm sounds, how do I stop this from happening? The system is an Accenta / Optima G3. Please help

If it's going 'beep' or similar intermittently, enter your code, it's just telling you that the mains supply has been turnrd off.

Or, as I suspect the outside sounder is going off it's the standby battery in the control panel. You need a new one.
