Sansui 7" in-car dvd with dual screen (SAN7030)?

After running the above for 1/2 hour it comes up with disc err and unable to watch dvd's after this, can you help

The Sansui DVD has a red laser and after a while the laser only reads half of the dvd that is placed into the player then reads "disc err". The laser will have to be replaced any DVD repair shop should be able to fix it.
