Mend HP LaserJet 4 Bottom Fixed Error

HP Lazerjet 4 will not feed from bottom tray, how can it be fixed?

We have an HP Lazerjet 4 that will not feed from bottom tray. It shows a paper Jam error notification, but it will not feed paper. How do you get it to send a test page, without being linked to a PC?

Press the offline button and then the menu button.

Press the menu button until you get to "Test Menu"

Press the item button 'till you get to demo page.

Press select.


And make sure your rollers are clean, this can stop paper being fed into the machine. Skid marks on the jammed paper is a tell-tale sign of this.
