thinking of buying a Swift sundance 590rs 2003 5 berth motorhome and wanted to fit a scooter rack to the rear to carry a scooter of 115 kg weight have been told i might have problems overloading the rear axle anyone done this or have any information if this would be a problem

I think the first thing you need to do is to check the electrical connections to the fuel tank itself - if you can access it. There is a unit inside the tank that has a float attached to it, which rises and falls with the fuel inside - this sends a message to the fuel gauge causing it to register. This could also be faulty. Keep the tank topped up meantime!
