New Thetford cassette lipseal still leaking?

Have a Thetford 2010 C402 cassette toilet in my Sprinter campervan. Cassette was leaking onto its top and floor of toilet. Relaced with new lipseal but still leaking, but not as bad. Any clues please? ( everything else appears normal )Bill

Just a thought lip seals after June 2000 changed so you may have been given or bought the pre 2000 which is not suitable.
