Ford 3000 radio/casette (Fiesta)?

Recently had to get the battery changed which reset the radio. Have the code 6809 which does not seem to be working and, helpfully, the sticker with the serial code has not been put on the book. I am guessing the serial number will be on the back of the radio however I am struggling to get the unit out to look at the numbers. Have tried some thin metal rod but to no avail, is there a trick to getting it out? Any help much appreciated! (And I will be back when I have got it to ask the keycode!)
Thanks

If you have the correct pair of extractors, then insert both into all 4 holes and push fully down (and inwards towards the radio) This should push in all the 4 springs locking the radio into its casing ...At the same time (with assistance?) attempt to pull out the radio..It is fiddly but should work. note: if you are attempting to do it using 4 separate pieces of wire /small screwdrivers etc instead , then it is important that ALL 4 are pushed in at the same time to release the 4 springs otherwise it won`t work.
