mechanism taking in cds doesn't seem to work. Eject still works & radio too?
the mechanism for taking in CD's on my 2005 Ford Focus just stopped. Eject mechanism still works. Tried pushing CD in to see if it could be played. No luck. Any ideas for repair ??
It is a single disc player - don't knwo the model number. don't have the radio security code since I bought the vehicle used.
First find out the Security Code by asking another question here. Quote the Serial Number hopefully beginning with M****** (found on the casing or with your car`s paperwork ).Then remove the CD player from the dashboard using a pair of extractors .Remove the outer casing to see what is causing the problem.
