how can I get the code without paying £10.00?

My inlet manifold in my car back fired, I put it in the garage, and now I have it back the radio asks for a code, Ive never had a code from the dealership, ive called them, but they said they never got the code when the car was traded in!! The radio/cd player is built in, with no serial numbers showing.
Can anyone help???
