hi, can you please tell me what this could be! i was cutting and all of a sudden it went bang and the spark plug shot out and took the thread of the c/head with it. any help please,
Another thought has occurred - was the plug loose? If it was, (and there's no nternal damage), you might get away with a thread repair, or a new head.

Sorry to say your engine is probably scrap. The con rod has snapped (probably due to no oil and/or over-speeding), which has caused the piston to hit the bottom of the plug, forcing it out.
New engine required.
