RCA r53wh74 concave picture, red blue and green effect?

Hi,
The same thing recently happened to my set, (Magnavox 51MP3964H/17 ) Rainbow effect ..... you have to replace the convergance chips or swap out the boards. I had a repairman do it for me, 300 bucks plus a charge for the service call. your looking at at least 400 and make sure they use the best chips, no generics or they wont last. Good Luck!
