Mend Mitsubishi HS-M50V(B)

Mitsubishi video recorder model no:HS-M50V(B). ?

The date on this model can only be set from 1994-2008 making it impossible now to preset recordings. Is there any solution to this because the machine is still in good working order but not much good if I cant record with it. Help.

You should choose 1998 as the year and it should work for the next 10 years. I done it and it is working OK. However, on my machine (probably not relating to the above) I loose time and have to set it again after one day or so.
