How can I fix my Electrolux EWN 14780 S?

The fire alarm, which is wired in to the mains, at my home went off. At that time our Electrolux washing machine and dishwasher stopped working? They are both plugged in to the same extension. The dishwasher is now working after turning the mains on and off and genereally pushing buttons etc. However, the washing machine is not working. Can anyone help. Any ideas would be much appreciated. The machine is an Electrolux EWN 14780 S washing machine.
