Laufen Dual Flush overflow problems?

We have 2 Dual Flush Laufen toilets that have been problematic over the 4 years we have had them. Technically it is impossible to utilise the dual flush function on one of the toilets as we have to press the button again (in a particularly gentle fashion) to stop the overflow. I note that this seems to be a problem with other manufacturers too. It has had the Geberit mechanism replaced once already by a local plumber. The second toilet is now constantly running and I have temporarily taken the top off and lowered the level of the overflow so we don't have a leak through the bottom of the cistern but the water is collecting outside the plastic receptacle that seems to line the cistern. We have a water softener so shouldn't really be getting scale deposits on the mechanism but will we need to replace the mechanism again here?

Water flowing from cistern into pan!

Remove cistern lid by unscrewing the flush button by hand.
Turn off water.
Remove flush assembly by pressing in sides, at front and back of flush assembly base. As it comes free remainder of water in cistern flows into the pan.
At base of flush assembly there's a round seal which will be covered in blisters, and these should be poped to make the seal flat again.
Refit seal, flush assembly and cistern lid.

Thanks for the procedure - it worked fine for me. The local plumber's merchant had the Gerberit washer (Part No. 816.418) in stock at £3.60. Better than a half day plumber's bill !

I have recently had a similar problem when I noticed that there was always a slight dribble of water even after several hours flushing the toilet. I eventually discovered how to remove the mechanism (by pinching two levers below water level) and discovered that the rubber seal had blisters on its surface right where it should be sealing. I removed it and although the reverse had fewer blisters they were not on the same place and it was sufficient to pop one and replace it. It now seals properly but have ordered a replacement.

I am having the same problem, but no-one has said how to fix it, I am working on the assumption it is a lime scale build up and looking to replace the innards, but do not know product codes to get the right parts.
Can anyone help .....

I to am having a problem with my Laufen cistern, it appears the plastic liner is somehow leaking and the water gets outside the liner and slowly crushes it so the flush is useless.

Anyone else had the same problem and managed to resolve it?

I do not know if this helps, but I have a Laufen toilet problem also. The inlet valve started to open regularly (slight bursts only). I shut off the water supply and noticed that the cistern level dropped quickly to empty. I assume there is a leak some where, as it can be seen flowing into the lower basin. I will get a plumber shortly to try and sort it out. This leak is from inside the plastic container as the overflow is below the top level./
