why is the tap pumping water even though its switched off?

I have also had the same in my caravan it was caused by the in-line pressure switch on the cold supply. The light and pump stayed on but no water out of taps which were turned off. Adjusted the pressure switch and problem solved. [Its white in the cold supply]
HOW TO adjust:
The switch has knurled knob on turn this fully clockwise to close the switch. Open a cold tap about halfway. Turn the knurled knob anti-clockwise to open until it starts to click then stop turning. let tap run on a few secs then turn it off it should stop the pump.
This has to be done periodically.
To see what one looks like if you don't already know
type in search engine 'Caravan in-line pressure switch and select the 'whale' one or search the list.
Hope it solves your probem for both lunar Solar owner. ADD result using 'answer question'
