Mend Goldstar Best Compressor Repair

My Goldstar dehumidifier won't run?

At best, it goes on for a few minutes. It's less than 3 years old, so the compressor should be covered. But Goldstar (LG) isn't helpful, saying they know of no repair facility anywhere near where I live outside Baltimore, MD.
