I have a flat tire on a murray select 13hp, 40 in riding mower. There is a plastic center cap on the wheel and I haven't figured out how to take the tire off?
My tire rim was rusted on the shaft and I could not remove with a wheel puller. I had 18 x 8.5 size and removed tire with large screw drivers and hammer then cleaned and repainted inside of rim installed new tire and core. Then aired up and has run without leaks 2 years.

Don't know on the Murray but on others just "pop" off cover and remove wheel and tyre by undoing nut. Take all down to local tyre place and ask them nicely (and offer them a drink-suggest a fiver) to remove tyre. So much easier than trying to perform in situ
