Mend Janome 300e Sewing Machine Tension Presser Foot

Janome 300e tension problem?

The tension does not tighten enough even when on full tension. When I lower the presser foot the thread should be tight to pull through but it is pulling through even on tightest tension. I hve treid clening with some tooth floss and looked to see if any thread stuck does anyone know anything else I could try please.

Hello Doris,
Lift the foot up and down and see if you can see the tension discs opening and closing, if they do not move then the pin may be stuck.
