chainsaw start string doesn't pull out??

the chainsaw string that starts the chainsaw.. is stuck.. what can I do? it a homelite.2 I think..umm..can't remember what kind.. will have to ask my husband.

It struggled to start,got too much unburnt fuel in the piston chamber and hydrolic locked it solid,take the spark plug out and see if turnes and shoots the raw fule in your face and unsticks it?
