Singer Sewing Machine?

Our Singer Sewing Machine F16136577 when plugged in takes off at full speed. I've looked at the foot pedal and it all seems to be working OK. Any hints as to the problem?

Hello Jim,
In the foot control you will find a suppressor, it will look like a fuse across the terminals, take it out and throw it away because it has fused togethger and you don't need to have it in there any more.
