Mend Weedeater 2816 Lines Tank

fuel lines?

On my 2816 weedeater the lines were cracked so I replaced them. Does the port on the back of the carb run into the tank also. Both holes in the tank need lines? That one was gone. I can get it to run but then it bogs down and won't stay running until I prime it again.
