Hi,
I have a 2001 citroen xsara 2.0 hdi 90bhp..today i went to start it and it just turns over and wont fire...i then went to try again and noticed that i couldnt hear the fuel pump working as i usually wait for it to go off...i checked the relevant fuses and disconnected and reconnected the brown relay beside the ecu as reccomended by a member of a citroen owners club...but no joy....any ideas on how to fix it??
give the fuel tank a kick whilst trying to start it. if it fires up you need a new pump in the tank. if not then it may have gone completley. you need to check fuel pressures then.
