how do you change break light bulbs on a Ford Fusion 2?

open tailgate remove the 2 screws from top and bottom of light unit, then from inside [about 1/2 way down ]you should find an extended plastic nut type fixing ,remove this then gently ease assy out,release wiring plug then you can access bulb holders to change bulbs .

Most bulb changes today involve removing the whole light assembly, so just look inside the car around the light area for a couple of blank plugs these could hiding the holding nuts they may even already be visible(knurled plastic rings)
support the light unit as nuts/rings are removed
gently pull out light unit,remove the wiring jack plug
remove the screws/clips holding the two halves of unit together exposing all the bulbs, replace the faulty bulb(s)(you may first want to temporary reconnect jack plug and try ALL circuit bulbs are working) if O K reassemble in reverse order.
