how can i turn off the child lock on a hitachi 37LD8D20U A?

how can i turn off the child lock on a hitachi 37LD8D20U A without the remote? it was accidentally turned on using the side panel controls and i no longer have the remote. i tried turning the tv off and on again but once its off the only way to turn it on again is with the remote and i cant register a one for all remote without the tv being on. the tv is just permanently on standby. is there a reset button on the tv or a way of fixing it?
