how can I fix my 40 pint G.E. dehumidifier?

I have a 40 pint G.E. dehumidifier that is 7 yrs old.Recently the coil on the back had a thick layer of ice on it.I thawed it out,tried it again,same thing happened.I left it unplugged for about a week,tried it again,and now it doesn't ice up,and it seems to be working,the fan runs,the compresssor gets hot,and seems to be running ok,but I'm not getting any water in the bucket,obviously not working!Any ideas? Thanks
