how can i pick up freeview and analogue channels on my hitachi l42vp01u-a ?

hi i've installed a new ariel yet i cant pick up any freeview or analogue. all i get is a perfect blue screen with music coming out from the analogue channels

You really haven't given much to go on.

However it could be two things: 1) The aerial, alignment is wrong or you have not connected the aerial correctly. 2) the TV.

Substitute a known-good TV for the Hitatchi. If it fails to work it is 1) if it works, then you have broken TV set.
