Where is the plastic pipe for the chain lubrication connected?

I have a PWR1800CSC electric chain saw. The chain was not properly lubricated and when dismantled I found the plastic tube from the oil tank not connected and just loose in the plastic compartment, is this correct or is there a place where this should be connected? There is a plastic pigot that maybe the place and it does pass through to the chain compartment but the tube appears to be too small for this. Any help or advice would be appreciated
