Hello Terri,
Providing you have a good needle in the correct way round and you are not sewing on a fabric that causes static with the wrong needle you may need to retime the machine, I can attach instructions if you email me, type my address in as you say it and not as you read it, this site no longer allows email addresses to be shown.
